 Chuck Duncan is welcomed home by my family after 9 months 7 days in combat in Vietnam in October 1967 at the Los Angeles International Airport. I was drafted in December 1965. Went to Basic Training in Ft Bliss Texas, AIT Training in Ft Ord California and joined the 199th LIght Infantry Brigade in June of 1966 for 6 months more training. I went on my longest cruise so far by troop ship and landed in late December 1966 in Vung Tau. Our base was Long Binh, but I played around in the jungle for the next six months.
